Best Male Pop Artist of the Year, LA Music Award Winner, D.C Harding is taking the world by storm! His debut single, Not Up To You, was nominated for Pop Single of the Year and Harding nominated for Best Male Pop Artist of the year for which he won.
Having grown up a single child to mother Linda Dowdle (Harding, Adams) and Colin Harding, D.C was immersed in all sorts of music, country, rock and roll, RnB and Pop music was what he listened to the most.
His mother decided to take D.C to a place where karaoke was popular and placed him into a singing competition when he was 9. It was the first competition that D.C was in and it was the first taste of winning. By the time he was 18, D.C was ready to hit the karaoke bars around town and was a frequent vocalist at "Danny's Karaoke Bar" in Whanganui until he was 21.
2006 saw D.C move to Auckland to study at Excel School of Performing Arts, it was here that his passion for performing live music grew. D.C learned a lot about who he was during his year away from home and developed his own style of singing.
In 2009, D.C was the first male to be crowned the Star of the International Sevens where his music career took off. Later that year, he was performing a long side some of New Zealand's biggest names "Tina Cross, Annie Crummer, Jason Kerrison (OpShop), Shane Cortese, TK Paradza (Titanium), and Bella Kalolo". In 2010, he performed a long side New Zealand and Australian hit band, Dragon (Rain, April Sun in Cuba and Old Enough) which introduced him to singer/song writer Jordan Luck. The introduction lead to an invite from Jordan to write D.C a song.
2013 saw D.C enrol at the Universal College of Learning on the Contemporary Music Performance program. D.C learned he loved to perform his own material. It was at his time at UCOL that he was able to develop his song writing skills with his peers. Since then D.C has pened over 40 new songs 5 of which have been recorded.
His debut EP, "Melodic Emotions" will be released early in 2015.
