It was that time again, the call to help another well deserving family here in New Zealand.
2012 saw the very first In Our Hands concert for the Stafford family and this year I decided to jump on board to help make a difference in another families life who needed a little helping hand.
The concert was held in Lower Hutt for the Comerford family at the Little Theatre with some amazing artists. I was really excited to sing with some of the coolest people from Wellington including Prime Music Academies, "Pitch Perfect" group, New Zealand's Got Talent winner, Renee Maurice, Anita Prime, Martha Samasoni, NLC and bunch of other really cool talent.
It was a night to remember, that's for sure!!
I was the first to perform. I sang songs from my EP "Melodic Emotions" which I haven't completely released yet officially. I'm going to do some more work on it and release it again.
The first song I sang was Arise - its a song that helps me to get up in the mornings and reminds me that know matter what I deal with, I will Arise from any situation that I find myself in. After Arise I sang, Baptism of Fire. BOF is my favorite song to sing out of all my songs. Its that song that I get lose on and just rock it out. Not Up To You was my last song for the night and I dedicated it to everyone who needs a "stuff you" song.
After my set I helped to MC the event which was a lot of fun. It was the first time I got to work with my girl, Martha as an MC.
I'm looking forward to the next fundraiser which is going to be held within the next 12 weeks. I have no clue as to who its going to be for and when exactly its going to be, or who is going to be a part of it. But I do know its going to be in Auckland and for another deserving family.
So, until next time - peace out!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
